The Role

We are looking for a skilled and forward-thinking NDT Expert to join our technical operations team. In this multifaceted role, you will execute inspections of metallic structures in maritime environments, utilize cutting-edge drones for data acquisition, and interpret inspection results to deliver high-quality technical reports. Your work will directly contribute to safeguarding essential maritime assets and driving forward our company's technical innovations.

Key Responsibilities

As an NDT Expert / Drone Pilot, you will:

  • Plan and conduct inspections of metallic structures in port, coastal, and offshore environments.
  • Pilot and operate drones autonomously, including flight planning, equipment setup, and ensuring compliance with aviation regulations.
  • Perform non-destructive testing (ultrasonic, visual, thermic and more) to assess structural integrity.
  • Analyze and interpret inspection data from NDT equipment and drone imaging.
  • Prepare detailed technical reports with findings and actionable recommendations.
  • Maintain and undertake first-level maintenance on drones and NDT equipment.
  • Keep up with regulatory frameworks and technical advancements (relating to NDT methods, drone technology, and standards within the maritime sector).
  • Work on a diversity of projects, including interventions on ships, port infrastructure, and offshore structures.


Who We're Looking For

The ideal candidate is committed to technical excellence, adventurous yet precise, and excited to work with cutting-edge technology in challenging maritime environments.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A two-year degree (Bac +2 or equivalent) in physical measurements, mechanical engineering, industrial maintenance, or a related field.
  • Valid NDT certifications such as COFREND or equivalent
  • Experience in the maritime, port, or industrial inspection sectors (strong advantage).
  • Familiarity with professional drone operations (preferred but not mandatory. Training will be provided).
  • Strong proficiency (minimum B2)in English for communicating with international teams, preparing technical reports, and understanding documentation.

  • Strong communication and technical documentation skills.
  • Autonomy, adaptability, and reliability in dynamic environments.
  • Willingness to travel: France and International travel may be required up to 50% of the time.

Additional Information

  • This role requires flexibility, including irregular hours and work in challenging settings, such offshore environments.
  • The Drone Pilot Certificate (CATS or equivalent) is NOT required at the time of hire; full training and support will be provided to obtain certification.
  • Travel to offshore, coastal, and port sites (local and international) will form a key part of this position.
